Jason Jerome, MSed, ATC, LAT, CPT
Director of Athletic Development
Originally from Aurora, IL, Jason earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami in 2006. For the past seven years, Jason has served as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Athletic Development for IMPACT SPORTS PERFORMANCE, which was founded in Boca Raton, FL. Prior to his work with IMPACT, Jason spent time with different sports performance organizations and schools in South Florida providing program implementation, injury prevention protocols, and biomechanics evaluations for athletes of all ages and backgrounds. Early in Jason’s career, he was employed by the University of Miami and responsible for rehabilitating Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes from various sports including football, track and field, and volleyball. The highlight of Jason’s time at the “U” was serving as a Core Training specialist for the track and field program as well as working with numerous alumni from the NFL and MLB. Jason is a proud supporting member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
Matt Crawley MS, CSCS
Head Sports Performance Coach
Originally from Kenmore, NY, Matt has been a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist coaching across the United States for the past six years. Matt earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland and a Master’s Degree in Human Health and Performance from Canisius College. He is currently pursuing his second Masters Degree in Applied Sports Nutrition at Canisius College. In past years, Matt has worked for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) National Headquarters Performance Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has held the position of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, and an assistant to Football at Webber International University. In addition, he continues to pursue his passion for continuing education by assisting with the Buffalo Bills Spring off-season strength & conditioning program. Matt has an extensive background working in the private sector where he has physically prepared athletes for various sports ranging from youth, middle school, high school, college, professional and those in the tactical industry. For the past 2 1/2 years Matt has proudly served as the Head Sports Performance Coach at IMPACT Sports at HARBORCENTER.
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Jim Starkey joined the IMPACT Sports Performance Staff in February 2015 after spending five years at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO, where he worked with some of the top orthopedic physicians in the profession. A native of Hamburg, Jim earned a Bachelor’s of Science in athletic training from SUNY Cortland and a Master’s of Science in exercise science from Middle Tennessee State University. During his time at MTSU, Jim served as the athletic trainer for the Blue Raiders baseball team. In addition to his work at The Steadman Clinic, Jim has gained experience working with the New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and many other athletes from the NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, and United States Olympic Teams. Jim is a Certified Athletic Trainer and an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
