Goaltending Development Program: 2000-2008 Birth Years

Goaltending Development Program: 2000-2008 Birth Years

$325

The Academy of Hockey’s In Season Goaltending Development Program will consist of a 360-degree, holistic approach to advancing the development of each goalie. Academy of Hockey Goaltending Staff, led by Director John Daigneau, will lead small groups of 12 goalies through a series of EIGHT (8) development sessions with an emphasis on the Technical, Physical and Mental aspects of goaltending.

Included in the development program are:

  • On-Ice Skill Development – The Academy Staff will consistently challenge participants to improve upon their skill set. Areas of concentration will include detailed footwork and in-crease positioning, balance and reaction through saves, controlling and tracking rebounds, and game situations.
  • Small Group Training – Deliberate and constructive on ice instruction is essential to skill growth. This program will have a 3:1 Player to Coach ratio or lower each session.
  • Individual Video Analysis – the Academy staff will videotape segments of each goalie session. The staff will provide a written and video analysis of each player at the conclusion of the program

To participate in this program, please submit the application via the tab below. The Academy of Hockey staff will review all applications and advise all applicants of the result of their application.  The program is an option for 2000-2008 birth year goalies that play Travel Level or High School. The cost for each participant is $325.
