Q: Will separate locker rooms be provided for female players?

A: Yes, HARBORCENTER has 11 locker rooms, and one will be available for female only players for all of our programing.

Q: I missed one of the sessions I signed up for. Can I make it up?

A: Unfortunately, due to our age and level-specific programming, it is difficult to accommodate for makeups. We hope that when registering for our programing you have already scheduled your sessions to ensure there are minimal conflicts. We understand that emergencies come up, so on a case-by-case basis please contact Olga Khmylev to speak further (olga.khmylev@harborcenter.com | 716-855-4297).

Q: How do I contact a member of your staff?

A: Please e-mail academy@harborcenter.com and we will forward it to the appropriate person.

Q: Can I join a program if I missed the registration deadline?

A: The Academy is offering multiple programs for many ages, but spaces are limited and many of our programs fill up fast. Please contact Olga Khmylev to find out if there are any remaining spots available (olga.khmylev@harborcenter.com | 716-855-4297).

Q: How do I know if a program has been cancelled due to a storm or some other emergency?

A: We will contact you at the phone number and email provided at registration.

Q: Are parents allowed in the locker room?

A: Parents are only allowed in the locker room if younger players need help putting on their equipment.

Q: What jersey do I wear on the ice for ice sessions?

A: Players are asked to please wear the Academy of Hockey practice jersey that is provided.

Q: Can a team or individual hire the Academy for training?

A: Yes, the Academy of Hockey is interested in working with as many players, coaches and teams as possible.  Whether it is at HARBORCENTER or your home rink, please contact Olga Khmylev with requests (olga.khmylev@harborcenter.com | 716-855-4297).

Q: If I am registered for programing at the Academy, when do I need to be there?

A: Please be dressed and ready to go five (5) minutes before your scheduled on-ice session.

Q: What equipment do I need?

A: Your child will need to wear age appropriate equipment mandated by USA Hockey.  Typically, required equipment includes: skates, stick, helmet, face mask, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, hockey pants, shin guards, shin guard socks, cup/supporter, and a mouth guard.

Q: Is parking free?

A: Parking is free if you are participating in an Academy program.

Q: Where do I park?

A: HARBORCENTER contains a 5-level parking ramp with over 750 parking spaces that is available for your use.

Q: Where will Academy of Hockey programing take place?

A: All Academy of Hockey offered programing would take place on one of the two NHL sized rinks at  HARBORCENTER.  For more information about HARBORCENTER, please click here.

Q: Who is on the Academy of Hockey coaching staff?
